Byron Atienza is an Award-Winning Filipino-American Executive Creative Director and Filmmaker. Previously running creative at Spotify Studios and Capitol Music Group, Byron is currently working in the music & tech space and recently founded A Bunch of Savages, a collective championing Filipino-American creatives. He has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Halsey, Chris Brown, Barry Gibb, Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, Queens of the Stone Age, ASAP Rocky, and The Notorious B.I.G. Estate.
Byron has lived, worked, and roamed the byways of South Africa, Mexico City, and the Philippines. In the UK, he was tapped to direct Spotify’s first feature-length concert Paul McCartney’s Under The Staircase, which was filmed in Abbey Road’s iconic Studio 2, the studio in which so many of The Beatles’ classic tracks were recorded.
His four-part docs-series New Cash Order on CASH MONEY RECORDS, which he wrote and executive produced, debuted exclusively on RapCaviar. As a Director and Photographer, he has shot various campaigns for Nike, Absolut, Jameson, Chivas, VICE, and W hotels. His Fashion Films have debuted on Vogue, Lʼofficiel, and Flaunt, and his music videos have been featured on MTV.
His recent creative direction for Paul McCartney’s music video “Find My Way” featuring Beck was an official selection of EnergaCAMERIMAGE and nominated for a UK Music Video Award.
The son of an acrylics & oil painter and a businesswoman, Byron has an innate understanding of creativity as it intersects with commerce.
